A troupe of 13 Dhol Drummers from Park High School in the London Borough of Harrow, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Northwick Park, brought the Rotary Youth Makes Music Concert at the Royal Festival Hall to life on Monday 14th March 2011. Playing with two drums bought for the School by the Rotary Club of Northwick Park, the troupe started their performance off-stage in the wings, cleverly building up anticipation in the audience before making their entry. After a few seconds on stage, the troupe had all the audience clapping in time with them whilst they performed. The Dhol Drummers were one of 17 acts at the concert, each making their debut on an international concert platform. The performers were introduced by Pam Rhodes of BBC Songs of Praise fame. The next concert is scheduled for March 2013.
