The Club was represented once again at the huge Brent Cross Shopping Centre as part of the fundraising campaign for End Polio Now. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation made two Challenge Grants to Rotary International, each of $100m, to assist in the task of eradicating polio throughout the world. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Golders Green, we were there on Saturday 26th February, raising awareness of what Rotary has achieved in the eradication campaign, and collecting funds towards the Challenge Grants. The management at Brent Cross do not allow photographs of collectors so this picture was taken “back-stage”. Pictured with June and Dick from the Club are three Golders Green Rotarians, including their Club President Ian Addleson (2nd left).
