A group of club members assembled at York Gate in the centre of London to watch the handover of the van purchased from monies raised from a series of events organised by Rotary Club of Northwick Park members Helen and Dick.
“It has been a long road” said Dick, who will be the District Governor of all the London Rotary Clubs next year, “but it did finally result in this superb vehicle which with any luck will be taking donated items of aid from the UK to the Ukraine for the next 8 – 10 years.” “Without the support received from local businesses and from Rotarians from many clubs, it would never have happened”, said Helen, Assistant Governor for North West London.
