It was with great sorrow that we learned of the “passing to higher service” of our dear friend and former Club member (Cyril) David Baker on Sunday 03 April 2016.
David had had a long and distinguished career in Rotary, starting with the Rotary Club of Kennington, and then moving on to the Rotary Club of Kingsbury and Kenton before finally ending with our Club, Northwick Park, in July 2010 (pictured above). Overall his career with Rotary, which included time on various District Committees, extended well past 50 years. He was also a Past President of Kennington and of Kingsbury and Kenton (see picture below).
David was intrigued by everything scientific, and loved music in all its styles and forms. At this difficult time, our thoughts are with his family and friends. The World President of Rotary International has sent a personal letter of condolence.
