Many members of the Club made the journey to Wembley (all of 3 miles) for a special occasion at the Rotary Club of Wembley, the presentation of a prize sponsored by the Deputy Lieutenant of Middlesex.

The composition subject of “Gone are the dead” would be challenging for any of us, but the winner had excelled himself and written a deeply touching poem on the subject.
