Our meeting on 11 March was a business meeting, and it took place the day before we knew the government would make announcements concerning the worldwide pandemic caused by the Corona Virus COVID-19.
We were delighted to welcome back our member Robert who has spent much of the winter in Australia. He assured us that his skin colour was a tan rather than a blush caused by being toasted the many bush fires there in recent weeks.
With nearly a half of the Club apologising for their absence, either through health or family or other engagements, the business was completed in record time. We then returned to our homes waiting to hear what our government had decided was the best course of action the following day.
