Our meeting on Wednesday 25 January 2023 was an on-line Fellowship Meeting at which the Club marked the birthday of Robert (Rabbie) Burns, the Scottish poet.
Whilst the Address to a Haggis might stretch the vocabulary of a Sassenach, there were reports of the Chieftain of the Pudding Race being consumed with ‘tatties’ and ‘neeps’. The ‘water of life’ was also visible to the members!
Our webmaster, Dick, then read out the updated version of the poem “To a Mouse”, updated that is for the computer age. The poem is by Simon Edmands of the Rotary Club of Leatherhead, and was much enjoyed by the members.
Our next meeting on 01 February 2023 will be held face to face at the Kenton Beefeater.
