On Saturday 25 November 2023, the Club hosted the Tonic Choir from Harrow in St Alban’s Church, North Harrow, for a fundraising concert in support of Lend With Care and the Salvation Army.
Lend With Care provides business startup loans in developing countries, specialising in the support of small business start ups – a project that the Club has supported for many years. The Salvation Army provides essential support for those in need in our own community in Harrow.
The choir sang a selection of works, some from the time of Mozart, some from the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, and some from the pen of Leslie Bricusse. It was a most enjoyable concert, and we are most grateful to the members of the choir, their conductor and their accompanist for supporting our causes.
There was also the inevitable raffle which raised over £300 for the two charities.
