On Tuesday 28 May 2013, one of our members delivered another load of computers to Computer Aid International in North London. The Club collects unwanted computers, and then clears down the contents so that no information can go astray. When the computers arrive at Computer Aid International, they are cleared down again, this time to MOD standards prior to them being shipped to schools (in the most part) in Africa. Having a computer in a school there allows students to connect to people around the world, and also offers the opportunity for young people to develop technical skills and knowledge about hardware and software. If you have computers you would like to contribute to this established project and you are located in North West London, please contact the Club President. If you are located out of our area, please contact your local Rotary Club, or contact computeraid.org directly.
