To the great delight of the people of Kenton, the local authority has now planted up the street plant containers, and brightened up our surroundings.
During most of the pandemic, we have been without any greenery or flowers in our high street, but this week the crew from the local authority bravely came out to plant up the many troughs and the three tier stands. Times have been extremely difficult for all of us and bringing a little bit of colour back is much appreciated.
Our three tier stand had been planted up by Thursday 11 June 2020, and the sign requesting that shoppers do not use the planter as an ashtray seems to have survived. We are now buoyed with optimism for the coming summer!
