Our meeting on 13 December 2023 was our final meeting of the year 2023, and was well attended with members and no less than nine guests.
One of our members is seriously ill in Northwick Park Hospital, and our thoughts and best wishes for a speed recovery were sent to him. We were then served an excellent Christmas Meal by the staff at the Kenton Beefeater. There were reports on various events in the past week, including the District Carol Service held in the centre of London, and support for the street collections undertaken by the Rotary Club of Misbourne Matins in District 1090.
We then had a series of Quiz Marathon Rounds dealing with Dingbats, Cities in the UK for Santa to visit, Identify the Television Shows and Christmas Miscellanea.
The meeting finished with a Raffle in aid of Rotary’s End Polio Now programme, and a generous discount received from the Kenton Beefeater was added to the same cause by a decision of the members.
